Welcome to AlphaView AI ("AlphaView," "we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website at alphaviewai.com, our desktop application, our web app, and our mobile companion (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, installing, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Plain-language summary. AlphaView AI is a private, real-time AI meeting and call assistant. It shows transcription and AI suggestions in a window on your own screen. You are responsible for using it lawfully and honestly, including obtaining any consent required before recording or transcribing a conversation, and for following the rules of any meeting, exam, employer, platform, or institution you take part in. This summary is for convenience only; the full Terms below control.

1. Description of the Service

AlphaView AI is an AI-powered meeting and call assistant. The Service provides real-time speech-to-text transcription, AI-generated suggestions and answers, note-taking, and optional screen analysis, presented in a private overlay or companion view intended to be seen only by you. The Service is a general-purpose productivity tool. We do not control the context in which you choose to use it, and we do not monitor your conversations.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements and that your use of the Service will comply with all laws and agreements that apply to you.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account using Google Sign-In to access the Service.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.
You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Credits & Payments

The Service operates on a credit-based system. Credits are consumed based on session duration.
Free sessions are subject to cooldown periods and usage limits.
Except where required by applicable law, purchased credits are non-refundable once purchased.
All payments are processed securely through our payment processor (Razorpay). We do not store your full payment card details.
Prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
We may change pricing at any time. Credits already purchased remain valid.

5. Lawful & Acceptable Use

You may use the Service only for lawful, honest purposes and in a way that respects the rights of other people. You agree that you will NOT:

Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or unauthorized purpose.
Use the Service in any setting where doing so is prohibited by the rules that apply to you, including but not limited to examinations, certifications, proctored tests, assessments, hiring or interview processes, or academic work, where outside assistance is not permitted.
Use the Service to gain an unfair or dishonest advantage over another person, or to misrepresent your own knowledge, identity, or authorship.
Violate the terms of service, acceptable-use policies, or community rules of any third-party platform you use the Service alongside (for example Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Webex, or any exam or hiring platform).
Record, transcribe, capture, store, or process any person's voice, image, personal data, or communications without first obtaining every consent required by law (see Section 6).
Share, resell, sublicense, or redistribute your account or credits to third parties.
Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract source code from the application, except where such restriction is prohibited by law.
Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure, or access it using bots, scrapers, or automated tools.
Upload or transmit malicious code, or use the Service to infringe the intellectual-property or privacy rights of others.

We may investigate and take appropriate action, including suspending or terminating accounts and cooperating with law enforcement, in response to suspected violations of this Section.

6. Recording, Transcription & Participant Consent

This is important. Laws in many countries, states, and regions require the consent of some or all participants before a conversation may be recorded, transcribed, or otherwise captured. These include "all-party" (two-party) consent laws (for example in California, Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Washington), federal and state wiretapping and eavesdropping laws, and data-protection laws such as the EU/UK GDPR, India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, and similar laws elsewhere.

By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that:

You are solely responsible for determining which laws apply to you and to each conversation, and for complying with them.
You will obtain all consents, provide all notices, and complete any other steps required by applicable law before you use the Service to transcribe, record, capture, or process any conversation, voice, image, or personal data of another person.
With respect to any personal data of other people that you process using the Service, you act as the data controller (or equivalent) and AlphaView acts only as a provider of the software tool. You are responsible for having a lawful basis for that processing and for honoring the rights of the individuals concerned.
AlphaView does not obtain consent on your behalf, does not verify that you have obtained consent, and has no obligation or ability to do so.
You will not use the Service to secretly surveil, deceive, defraud, harass, or harm any person.

You are responsible for all consequences of failing to obtain any required consent or of otherwise using the Service unlawfully.

7. User Responsibility & Assumption of Risk

You are solely responsible for how you use the Service and for the outcomes of that use. AlphaView is a neutral software tool; we do not encourage, endorse, or condone any dishonest, deceptive, or unlawful use. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that:

You will comply with all rules, policies, codes of conduct, and contractual obligations of any organization, employer, client, platform, or institution involved in your use of the Service.
You assume all risk arising from your use of the Service, including any disciplinary action, disqualification, loss of opportunity, termination, contractual liability, regulatory action, or legal consequence.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any such consequence resulting from your use or misuse of the Service.

8. No Professional Advice

AI-generated suggestions, transcripts, and other outputs are provided for general informational and productivity purposes only. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, and they do not constitute legal, financial, medical, employment, or other professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing, verifying, and deciding whether to rely on any output. Do not rely on the Service for decisions that require professional judgment without consulting a qualified professional.

9. Third-Party Services & Platforms

The Service may operate alongside or integrate with third-party products and services (for example, video-conferencing platforms, AI model providers, and our payment processor). We do not control and are not responsible for those third parties, their availability, or their terms. Your use of any third-party service is governed by that third party's own terms and policies, and you are responsible for complying with them.

10. Intellectual Property

All software, content, designs, logos, and trademarks associated with AlphaView AI are our exclusive property or that of our licensors.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our written permission.
AI-generated outputs produced during your sessions are for your personal, lawful use only.

11. Privacy & Data

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and how we use it. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described there.

12. Service Availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
We are not liable for any loss resulting from downtime, interruptions, or changes to the Service.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or that the Service will meet your requirements or produce any particular result. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any transcription or AI-generated output.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, opportunities, data, or goodwill.
Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) INR 1,000.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AlphaView AI and its founders, employees, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms or of any law; (c) your failure to obtain any consent required under Section 6; or (d) your infringement of the rights of any third party.

16. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at our discretion, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms or any unlawful use.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
Credits may be forfeited upon termination for a violation of these Terms.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 6 through 15 and 17) will survive.

17. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to any non-waivable rights you may have under local law, you agree that the courts located in Bangalore, Karnataka, India will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
